01 Information we collect
We keep data collection to the minimum needed to provide BeamLink.
Account information
If you create an account, we store your email address and a securely hashed password. You can use parts of the app without an account.
Device & app information
To keep your account secure and the app compatible with your device, we process technical details such as device brand, model, operating-system version, screen size, app version, and language, along with a device identifier generated on your device. This identifier helps prevent abuse and ties your membership to your account.
Purchases
When you buy a membership, the payment is handled by Apple. We receive the transaction and receipt needed to confirm your purchase and grant access — we never see your card details.
Service diagnostics
We process basic operational data (such as request timing and error states) to keep the service reliable. This is not used to profile you.
02 System-level protection (VPN)
When you turn on system-level protection, BeamLink configures a VPN on your device to block malicious connections and route your traffic through a secure tunnel. We use this only to deliver the protection feature. We do not log the sites or services you connect to, and we don't inspect the contents of your traffic.
03 How we use information
- To provide and maintain the app's features.
- To create and secure your account and membership.
- To process purchases and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To diagnose problems and improve reliability.
- To comply with legal obligations.
04 We don't share your data
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal information with any third party. BeamLink runs on our own infrastructure, your files are encrypted end-to-end, and your browsing is checked on your device — so there is nothing to hand off.
The only exception is where we are legally compelled to disclose specific information by valid legal process, in which case we provide only what the law requires.
05 Retention
We keep account information for as long as your account exists. Transient data used to pair a file transfer is short-lived and discarded after the transfer ends or expires. When you delete your account, we remove your associated personal data, except where we must keep records to meet legal or accounting requirements.
06 Your choices
- Access & deletion. You can delete your account from inside the app, which removes your associated data.
- Permissions. Features like Photos access and the VPN ask for your permission and can be turned off in iOS Settings.
07 Children
BeamLink is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region), and we don't knowingly collect their data.
08 Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll post the new version here and update the date above. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app.
